The UNSDGs Certified Teacher Professional Training

Course Introduction

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a comprehensive transformative education. In ESD, teachers play a crucial role in cultivating the next generation's awareness and behavior. The 'United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4' (SDG4) focuses on quality education, reiterating that education is one of the core directions for achieving the SDGs. Therefore, the institute has established this course to equip primary and secondary school teachers, as well as other educators, with relevant knowledge and integrate sustainable development concepts into classroom teaching. This aims to cultivate students' interdisciplinary abilities from the perspectives of knowledge, emotion, intention, and action, promoting global sustainable development goals through education. The course has been conducted for twelve cohorts and is one of the most popular courses at the institute. After training, teachers can also assist in developing the 'Future Education Innovation Teaching Laboratory' at their schools.
