This course is the first professional programme in Hong Kong specifically designed for carbon trading and carbon asset management in the logistics sector.

  • Empowering Hong Kong’s Logistics Industry to Capture the New Arena of Carbon Trading and Turn Challenges into Competitive Advantages

As an international centre for trade and finance, Hong Kong places its logistics industry at the forefront of the carbon trading wave. In the face of the EU CBAM and the carbon barriers emerging across international supply chains, traditional logistics services no longer suffice to meet market demands. This course aims to equip Hong Kong logistics enterprises with the capability to transform carbon management from a compliance cost into a new source of business growth. By mastering carbon asset development and trading, participants will be able to unlock new value for their organisations and secure a favourable position within the global supply chain.

  • Precisely Addressing Hong Kong’s Industry Characteristics and Translating International Pressures into Localised Solutions

With import and export trade at its core, Hong Kong’s logistics sector generates carbon emissions that are closely tied to the supply chain carbon footprints (Scope 3) of its clients. International customers increasingly require their logistics partners to provide transparent carbon data. This course offers tailored solutions, guiding enterprises in accurately calculating and managing their carbon footprints. In so doing, it not only enables them to meet upstream and downstream disclosure requirements but also empowers them to proactively convert carbon data into carbon assets, directly addressing the challenges posed by mechanisms such as CBAM.

  • From Strategy to Innovation: Enabling Enterprises to Create Green Value

Going beyond the compliance dimension, the course emphasises sustainable development planning and the design of innovative business models. Participants will learn how to turn decarbonisation actions and ESG strategies into new commercial value, shifting from a passive cost burden to active value creation, thereby achieving long-term business sustainability.

  • Professional Accreditation ensuring Learning Quality

This course is developed and delivered by the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development. With a strong educational and research background in the field of sustainable development, the Institute guarantees that the course content is both internationally informed and locally relevant to the Hong Kong context.

  • Holders of a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification from a recognised university.
  • Middle to senior management personnel within logistics enterprises.
  • Department heads and professionals responsible for ESG reporting, environmental management, strategic planning, and business innovation.
  • Industry practitioners who aspire to transform green logistics into a source of commercial competitiveness.
