
China was the founding member of the United Nations and one of the five permanent members of the Security Council, and has made important contributions to the establishment of the United Nations. In 1971, the People’s Republic of China officially replaced the Republic of China and restored its legal rights in the United Nations.
2021 was the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the legitimate rights of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations, on the Chinese National Day, the special exhibition with the theme “China and the World” will demonstrate the evolution of China’s role in the United Nations.
The guide will also include explainations on China’s role in UNESCO, from being the observer, to learners, to in-depth participation.
The exhibition room will display iconic figures, events and text descriptions, all visitors will also be provided with a “China and the World” study handbook.
